Hi everyone, thank you for joining my podcast, Take a Fashion Seat. Tonight's topic is spring looks. So I got a lot of articles to get through, so get ready. You want to know what the latest spring styles are, the trends. Let's dive right into it. So I want to start with HM because they're considered um fast fashion. So what to wear this spring? So let's start with HM because they always give you like the what the most general population will be wearing. And it's all it always starts with the fast fashion, no matter which way we look at it, that's the thing now. So spring outfits are synonymous with airy styles, like they're light wardrobe, staples are easy to layer and pair well with other favorites. So the key rule this is what HM is saying the lighter the fabrics, the better. So spring is always light. You have you can come out of your warm and winter wear. You're you know, even jeans are heavy and they can be overwhelming in spring. So it's best to do the light, lighter wear. It's the ultimate spring wardrobe, starts with solid foundations. So the season is about versatility. Um, the trench coat or like a light jacket. So the trench coat is your safest bet. Um, like beige or brown, you want quality denim, like a modern silhouette, like the wide legs or the trending burrow legs. These are the 2026 trends. Um, a white shirt. Make sure your white shirt is crisp, chic, and adaptable. Like if you're going into um a corporate office, you want to add a blazer, and underneath it, you want to do um casual weekend, you know, like looks, like lightweight knitwear. If you're gonna do because spring can be has cool days, so you also want to go with some knitwear, avoid the bulky, heavier outfits. Um, you could do um day-to-night fit dresses, you know, you can have something that's really light and pretty during the day, and you can turn it into something more um evening-like with adding a belt or adding some higher healed shoes, or adding jewelry or scarves. Now, the trending colors are like neutral, and the palettes are basically the buttery yellows and the sage greens. There's a thing, guys. Gotta love it. You even can do the lilac. Lilac is a pretty soft pastel. Um, the vibrant tones are the think red, um, cobra blue, and green. So green is the color. And think always beige, oak, and whites. Always. Linen is the ultimate spring and summer choice. So, although it's wrinkled looking, enjoy it because that's the thing. That's what linen does. It wrinkles. Cotton is your safest fabric because it's a hot weather favorite and it's durable, it is it works beautiful with all seasons. Um, lightweight denim, you know, we love our dark denim, a lighter wash denim might be better for spring and summer. So, how to layer your clothes? They did like basically mid layer and warm and texture, moving on from the winter stuff, and you're doing your little lighter things. So, put that set to the back of your closet, and it's smart to bring lightweight scarves and bags. Um, basically, there to play with the limps by mixing layers, crop jackets, long line knit. So, they the article was amazing. HM did an excellent job on what to look forward to for spring. Okay, next let's talk about the cup of joe. Now, Cuppa Joe is awesome because they did the seven spring trends. Um, so basically, they wrote an article about seven spring fashion trends and what's your thoughts. So green and blue, like we talked earlier. Um, bandanas. They're doing like the bandanas now, denim, funnel necks, like they're chic. Um, it's a higher collar, so that's why they call them the funnel neck, baby blue. You it's and try to stick with 100% cotton. You can do your browns and your maxis, polka dots, guys, is the thing. And I have a black and white polka dot dress. I love it, and I'll never get rid of it. It's like a classic. It looked like something you would wear to a polo match or to like um a horse race. It's very sophisticated. I love my polka dot dress, and I'm I'm never giving it up because it's like one of those classic maxi dresses that is pretty and it's polka dot. Um, the dark denim, but you can do silhouettes with it, track pants like Adidas, you know, is the thing. Um, you can do like shoes. The shoes this year are basically boat shoes, and you can get them and do them in original looks and leopard. So you could do, you know, they have timeless-looking boat shoes, is the thing. So I loved um how the cup of Joe did the seven trends, and that's what they were. So now let's do the pun side, which talked about spring. So spring fashion is more than just seasonal wardrobe, it's a renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings. You know, we just we're just tired of the big coats, the bulkiness, the hoodies, we're just tired. Um, after um wearing heavy coats, um, spring brings a shift, and the fabrics are softer, and you want to experiment and embrace. You want to focus on lighter fabric, softer silhouettes, brighter silhouettes. Um, as a core spring fashion is about balance. So do cardigans, breathable tops, linen pants, chiffon, replace the wool with cotton. So, another defining element for spring is the pastels, the florals, the cheerful yellows, the flower leaves, the basically, you know, the papilla light colors. So, do a lot of floral things because that's the thing. Um, just as nature awakens, um, flowers are blooming, trees are regaining leaves, and sunlight is becoming warmer. So, you want to, just like the weather, you want your wardrobe to reflect the same thing. So, spring fashion symbolizes hope and energy. It gives um, you know, we're looking for pinks and greens, sky blue, yellows, and pure happiness. Um, spring fashion can symbolize like your self-expression, whatever that may be, because everybody has a different style. So, in essence, fashion is a visual celebration of yourself, and spring always brings the aesthetic of florals and warms and sunny things. It can be basically conveys happiness and good energy. So green tones um carry strong symbolism because you know, hunter basically you wear that in winter. Then you start doing like a little more lime greens, and you know, like there's different types of greens that you can do, mint green, you just soften up your greens a little bit, um, brighter and softer tones make outfits appear more approachable, um, and it gives you an expression of confidence. Um, basically, the elements combine comfort, visual freshness, and practicality. And again, you want to do chiffon, cotton linen, and more breathable mouth fabrics. Floors and botanical prints are signatures for blooming spring, and they are also inspire. Relaxed silhouettes further refine the season, flowing, you know, dresses, crop trousers, loose shirts, wide leg pants, beautiful peep toe shoes, you know, jackets of all types. Um, you feel fresh, breathable, and optimistic about the season. Now, each year designers showcase their pretty spring vibes. You get New York, Paris, Milan, and London. These events set the tone for the trends. That's why we watch them. Runway spring trends typically highlight like the color palettes, the fabric, um, the combination of designers. Um, street style also plays a major role, and that's what I'm mainly talking about. Everyday street style reflects what people are wearing, which is fast fashion. Some are doing um designers because some people love designers, people like me. I love a beautiful Ralph Lonne spring look, Troy Birch, Chanel. I mean, I'm just like, I just love these designers. Tom Brown, Tom Ford, these appear like Tommy Hill figure. I look forward to seeing their things in spring because their designs are amazing. Overall, popular spring fashion trends combine comfort, creativity, and you know, transforming from one season to the next. You could do playful patterns and flowing dresses, always work. Now, outdoor gatherings, you know, they call for a different look because you you don't want to sweat, be overheated, so you want to do something playful and light, brighter colors, jumpsuits, etc. Accessorize as much as you can and enjoy socializing. Now, spring fashion offers a unique opportunity for both all genders to basically enjoy wardrobes, and everybody can be distinctive and enjoy their spring flows, their crop tops, their jeans, their shoes, um, their accessories, their sunglasses, their layer, their clothing, their scarves, the texture. Now, men's spring fashion tends, you know, they focus on simplicity and you know, like polo shirts, chinos, etc. So men, you know, they love their watches, their bombers, their jackets, and their blazers, and their hats. So gender neutral and modern spring trends also are on the rise. Oversized jackets, you can do gender boundaries and gender fluid clothing. Just feel comfortable in your skin. Overall, spring fashion is just a renewal, and whatever you feel that your transition will be, just pull it out. Long as it's lightweight and breathable, and just enjoy. That's that was that was a really great article. Now, the top spring colors are butter yellow, powdered blue, and sage green. So they're the colors. Um, you know, metal for a true spring is warm yellow gold. That's like the color. And you can do the you know, the mean you can do it in different ways. Now, midlife, she they wrote, I like their article because they dig deeper, and they said the first sign of spring clues. Um, so basically, the first sign is one of the many things they love about you know the celebration of spring is when you get rid of all that dark black and gray stuff, and you start wearing more lighter colors. So they basically talked about getting rid of and adding on. So you can basically the fact that um the jumper it ables a you know, a bit of camel into a wardrobe camel is part of the color palette now, and you can add denim to it, you know, different scarves, and just make it work. So they talked about um sides, guide, like hip length, and legs, you know, like your bodies, your legs, and how to make clothes feel comfortable and be comfortable in your skin. So I love the article because it showed um the cashmere argyl sweater, the striped cotton cable, the pink and blue argyle, the relaxed cotton jumper, the rainbow cotton tank, the denim striped jumper, the striped cardigan, and you know they talked about knitwear and how to put it together to make it coordinate with spring. Now they said, let's jump from a very casual look to something more smarter. So think of a lot of us have relied on classic Bowdoin dresses for years, the ones that fit comfortable, dunk crease, and happy spin. Now, today they introduce you to the Bowdoin's new dress, shape, um, and the one of their key launches, the Bria. The dress comes in a long lean cut um or knee version. So that's the thing, the season. So and it's cute. I'm looking at it. Um, you can probably see um that the classic side of the style, it doesn't see as often these days, but remember, Fonnie, it's a quite a surprise to see it in the new collection. So a lot of designers mix old with new, and you can do that too to bring out various styles, replace things with another thing. Okay, so you can start with let's I'm looking at a combination they put together, and it consists of a light beige jacket, and then they have a plaid one, boots, but the low heel boots and the kitty heels, um, a pair of slacks, they're black, but they lightweight a polo or a cardigan top, and always fantasize the best jewelry to match your look. Um, underneath it all, you can do a light t-shirt or like some jewelry to accent the look, especially if it's plain. Um, so jeans, because jeans are always popular, you can wear them all year long. Try to go with the lighter denims. Um, moving on, you can you can mix and match to a polo shirt and an ivory jacket. It's perfect, guys. It looks amazing. Um, and the lady in the article is showing a pair of dark denim jeans when it went a light, lighter beige jacket. It looks very nice. And the last keystone to show you is the sheer jersey taps. Um, it's a great way of adding fitted shape to your outfit, it just takes away the lumps and the bumps, and you know, and body types. Um, and you can just go with something more um you know, breathable. And so you want bright knits and sassy dresses, and you just want to look chic. Spring is the time to look chic. Winter, you're covered up, you know, guys. We're we just need to put our clothes like me. I like to get some of my coats dry cleaned at the end of the year, especially the ones I wore a lot. So, but I start pushing it all to the bag. Some of it need to go in the dry cleaner, so when winter comes, they'll be ready to wear. I think there's like two coats that I need to put in the dry cleaner, but other than that, my drawable is I it's you can because I have it so organized, it goes from summer to spring to fall to winter, and that's what you want with spring fashions this year. It's basically about the colors, and it's giving floral, it's giving beige and denims. I mean, it's given um pastel colors, the images you can get, um, different images from YouTube, from different designer sites, site stores, like Macy's and Nordstrom's HM. I mean, you can look in different places and you can see the different Vogue magazine, different looks this spring, and everything looks amazing, everything looks lightweight, and everything the colors are the light blues, the greens, the yellows, the buttery yellow. Remember? So we're winding down. The podcast is almost finished. So, spring outfits for dressing, you can get dresses and outfits from different stores. Um, you can do Nordstroms like we talked about. You can go on Pinterest and look at great ideas, styleoutfits.com. You can look at the different images and way to get stuff. Mark and Spencer, TikTok has amazing dresses and looks. Instagram, you can always find the latest trends. New York and Company is a major outlet for outfits.
