This person is so amazing because when I started on TikTok, I would say five years ago, Shakir was one of the first ones to inspire me, boost my content, push me to the next limit, and I appreciate him. I mean, since before it was TikTok, I think it was um Musicly, and I was on there, and then all the videos from there got TikTok, and it was just so fun to all the differences and improvements to the app. And yeah, finding people like you is my favorite thing.

Oh, thank you so much. So welcome. Tell my listeners who is Shakir Felipe. Um, where did you um grow up and where did you attend college?

Thank you so much. So I am Shakir Philippe, and I was born and raised in New Jersey and attended college at NYU. So I had a lot of clients and experiences in the city before now being in the Hamptons and helping out a lot of businesses here, but I'm still a city born and raised.

Okay, that they're I got you. So it's okay, that's the thing. Wow. Okay, awesome. I like that. So what um colleges did you attend? I know you said NYU.

Yes, and Rutgers University as well.

What was that like? Rutgers. I want to hear about Rutgers.

I was a cheerleader, and being a male cheerleader was fun. Every guy on the team had a girl that makes me.

And so the workouts every morning were just super dense.

Awesome, incredible. Wow, I love that. So um I love your fashion looks. Um, where do you get your inspiration?

My inspirations come from the Ralph Lauren catalog and your TikTok page and just any magazine that you know has unique preppy pieces. You know, I just love the country club chic style for some reason.

Love it, gotta love it. Oh my god, oh my gosh, wow, okay. That one's nice. I like that. And he has some hats, guys. Look at that. Oh my gosh, Hamptons! Woo! Yes, gotta love it. So when you shop in the Hamptons, where do you go? Like, tell us about some of the stewards there.

No, yeah, the tourist shops in the Hamptons, the super sheets, like super like, and there's something unique to the shop. Like, they have one in South Hampton, East Hampton. Um Blank Point, you know, surf shops.

Surf shops, okay. Wow. So which one is your favorite?

Um, the Hub in the Champtons.

The Hub and the Hamptons, okay.

I have like multiple brands that come in and come up.

So because I always wanted to understand the Hamptons and you live there. So tell us about the four parts. I heard there's four parts east, west. What can you can you tell us a little bit about how the Hamptons work? Like sure.

There's like these four parts, you know, it starts in West Hampton and ends all the way up at Hampton.

South and East Hampton have their little hamlets.

So which one is for them like the bourgeois? Like which one is like where they're gated communities, like you can't really there's gated communities all throughout the Hamptons.

Which is the most expensive seat boat in the country.

And which part again, I'm sorry?

Watermill, South Hampton.

The water mill, okay. All right, that's the most wow. So tell us about the part where they have the actual festivals and like the art shows and things like that.

Oh yeah, I mean it's all throughout the Hamptons.

Through all throughout, okay.

And there's events, the Hamptons International Film Festival, all of the Hampton Classic and the Polo matches.

This is nice. I'm learning things, okay. Oh, congratulations! That's gonna be incredible. Wow, I can't wait to see your pictures. Wow. So are you will you be like, what would the event entail? Like what will take place besides the polo? Sorry, can you say anything? Um, what will be taking place besides the polo? Like what other activities will they be?

Oh yeah. I mean, last summer I was here for Sasha Week. I mean, every summer they still charities and polo matches, okay, sporting events. So it's always fun to just see what gala is you can attend.

Awesome. So when you come back to New York, what do you do? This is the first thing you do, like if you come to the city. Manhattan, Chelsea, Chelsea, uh, you know, uh Williamsburg, what do you do when you come to New York?

Oh, oh yeah, I mean just sightsee. Um I will forever be a tourist and also attending all the museums and seeing checking out all the great things. Also, also, Janice, do you hear anything in the background?

Um, a little a voice. I heard a voice. Um, Shaw, I'm on a is someone on is someone um knocking at your door? He has a visitor, everyone. I love it.

So, what is your favorite place to dine? Because I got one more question. Where do you eat in the Hamptons?

Yeah, so it's Zoe Private Club, and they have a restaurant that's opening very soon.

So I am very excited to be there because I've seen that from other locations and can't wait for them to come.

We always expect like pop-ups here at the restaurant where coming into the seaside, so that's always fun.

Wow. So, um, final question about the Hamptons. Um, one more thing. So when you're driving from New York into the Hamptons, what is the first thing you see? If a person's coming up, it takes how many hours does it take, first of all?

SPEAKER_01 7:54

Yes, so I actually take the chipney. It's a bus from New York City straight to the Hamptons. Okay. About two and a half hours.

Two and a half hours.

SPEAKER_01 8:03

Even traffic, you know, it can get really congested, but it's well worth the trip. Once you lose service in the middle of the middle.

In the middle, okay.

SPEAKER_01 8:12

The ride right at the Hamptons, and then you'll start seeing the people trees and the hedges and the landscapes.

Wow. Thank you for sharing. You're making my day because I've always wanted a go-to for the Hamptons. And now God sent me one. Yes, I love it. Thank you. So, next question. Um, as a person who promotes others, what is your greatest achievement?

SPEAKER_01 8:35

My greatest achievement would be my first client in the Hamptons in 2019.

Okay. Tell us about it.

SPEAKER_01 8:43

Yeah, it was a fundraiser um in Monthalk for the Planned Parenthood and Human Rights.

Oh, wow, awesome. Okay.

So we were able to raise just from ticket funds and sponsors, like$30,000.

Oh wow.

It was just so fun to be part of something so extravagant and flashing costs. And that was what made my heart so warm.

So, what was your role particularly? What did you do?

SPEAKER_01 9:07

Yes, one of my roles was bringing all the influencers, the IP guests from the city in this nice luxury van.

So they knew, you know, everything that they needed to, as well as the social media.

That was the New York Times and the New York Post, Vanity Fair, phone, so it was really fun to do.

You had Vanity Fair there? Wow, I am impressed with you. Awesome. Thank you for sharing. That was nice. Wow. I am like so excited. So, what was your second greatest achievement? Do you have another one?

Oh, thank you. So, um, can you share with have you ever since you've been in Hampton, what celebrities have you come across?

Oh my gosh, two days ago I got to meet Joy Behart.

Oh, and my mom loves her. My mom loves Joy. Okay, what was she like? What was Joy like?

SPEAKER_01 10:03

My favorite is Whoopi.

Okay, Whoopi, my mom's too. She loves her as well. Okay.

Joy was so sweet and like I so much kinder. She thought I had great style.

Oh. That's nice. Wow. Okay. And I got a picture, selfie, but that's nice, you're right. So you do come across, um, sometimes you come across celebrities. Have you ever met when you were there, uh, Bethany Frankfurt? Because she's always in the Hamptons.

Oh, yes, I know. And she went to this like little small bakery, I'd like to say her name. They didn't praise her, but she met her.

Yeah, I heard she just left the Hamptons. Okay. Yeah. Right, yeah. Have you ever met any of the housewives there? Yeah.

Oh, I met Sutton from Real Housewives.

Sutton from the oh awesome, incredible. I like her.

Yes, um, I see myself going an agency either my own or going into one and just helping brands on a larger scale and you know, regional or national.

Because I want to see you like at the Met Gala, and I want to see you at like, you know, those big amazing Tribeca Film Festival. I I mean I need to see you there. Like I yeah, I can see you there.
